On February 20, 2016 the Little Elm Chamber of Commerce held its annual Daddy Daughter Dance at the Little Elm Recreation Center. There were approximately 546 people in attendance that night. The night began with live performances by students of Pink Couch Studios of Little Elm. Their live performers brought a great treat to the attendees that arrived early to have photos taken and gave everyone a glimpse of the amazing talent we have in Little Elm. DJ Junior in the Mix from 106.1 Kiss FM kicked off the music at 6:30 and the night went on with dancing, games, photos and raffle prizes. Market Street of Frisco and Kroger in Little Elm were kind enough to donate cookies, drinks and supplies for all of our attendees. The dance was successful due to the large amount of volunteers we received from Little Elm High School Student Council, Ryan High School students and local little elm residents. The night ended with a shuttle service donated by Little Elm ISD so that the dads and daughters could make it safely to their cars. When asked about the outcome of the dance Executive Director Jennifer Olvera said, “Year over year we have seen improvement for the dance and this year is no exception. We could not be more proud of the event this year and we look forward to continue to serve our community many more years to come.” The Little Elm Chamber would also like to thank Coserv Electric for their continual sponsorship of the Chamber and all community events. Finally, we wish to extend a very special thank you to the Town of Little Elm for allowing us to host the event at the Rec Center and supplying us assistance to help set up the dance.
