Karen Perlstein was born in Ft. Worth, Texas and was raised in Pilot   Point, Texas. Her parents owned a   small grocery, feed store and gas station. She graduated from J Earl Selz High School in Pilot Point. After graduation Karen went to work at Southland Life Insurance in Downtown Dallas where she worked and met her husband. Karen was a youth minister and folk choir director at her church St. Thomas Catholic church in Pilot Point. Later Karen took a fast track course offered by Grayson College to become an Emergency Medical Technician(EMT).   She worked on the ambulance service as a volunteer for the city of Pilot Point. Karen was a city councilwoman and Mayor Pro-Tem for the city of Pilot Point for four terms. During her terms on the city council she was the liaison for the Policy and EMS to the City Council.  Karen moved to Frisco with her family in 1992 to be closer to her work in Dallas.

Karen worked for Southland Life, Travelers, MetLife and Manulife Financial. She left Manulife Financial to pursue her career as a Business Analyst for Computer Sciences Corporation(CSC). She became a Project Manager for CSC, traveling every week. After Karen retired from CSC she went to work part-time as the Marketing Director for Stonebridge Chiropractic. Karen enjoys working at Stonebridge Chiropractic. She has the opportunity to meet a wonderful group of people in many networking groups that she represents Stonebridge Chiropractic.

Karen is a widow, but has a wedding in her near future. Karen and David live in Frisco. Karen is the mother to one daughter, three step-daughters and four step-sons. Karen loves to cook, plan events, watch movies, hang out with friends and fish.
